Kids Yoga is coming to Wellness Embodied!!

Let’s talk about kids yoga!

Kids yoga is a combination of games, postures and breathing exercises. Yoga is beneficial for the body and mind, it helps kids to cope with stress and improves their physical fitness. It is a fun way for children to develop different skills in a non-competitive environment. They can develop strength, coordination, balance in a supportive environment that allows them to relax and have fun.

Benefits of Yoga for Children

Yoga is good for our body and mind!

Some of the benefits of yoga for children are the following:

– helps to cope with stress and anxiety
– boosts energy levels
– improves stamina and strength
– greater flexibility
– encourage imagination -yoga encourages the child to be creative
– improves body awareness and awareness of breathing
– helps to relax
– children can make new friends
– encourages teamwork

So, overall, it is good for the child’s body and mind and it is fun!

Next year in week 2 of the school term, we will commence kids yoga and balance classes!

It is always more fun to do yoga together!

Group classes will help to build new relationships and improve strength, balance and coordination. In our classes, we combine play, yoga poses, balance training and breathing and relaxation, and children are encouraged to be creative.

Classes are run by our physiotherapist Maigi, who is also a qualified kids yoga teacher.

Classes will run from school week 2-week 9 on a Wednesday, beginning on February 3rd.
Ages 3 -6 yrs – 30 min class – 3:15pm
Ages 7 – 12 yrs – 45 min class – 4:00pm
Cost is $80 for the 8 week program.
Classes will be held on our spacious deck in our new premises at 30 Scott St, Parramatta Park 🙂
