Persistent dizziness can be treated with a range of different techniques and exercises. Don’t let dizziness ruin your lifestyle, see us.
Our Cairns Dizziness Clinic has been established in response to patient requirements and is lead by Senior Physiotherapist Clara Andrich, with Maigi Korbe. This team of Cairns Vestibular Rehab Physiotherapists has professional interest in vertigo and persistent dizziness and uses a range of techniques and tools, including Vesticam Goggles, to provide comprehensive assessment to identify potential triggers and causes. Once this is established, they will prepare a personalised treatment plan to deliver you best results. At our Cairns Dizziness Clinic, we look at all the factors which may cause your dizziness and provide you with care to improve your life.
Vestibular migraines are one of the most common causes of vertigo. Vestibular migraines present as spontaneous episodes of vertigo that can last from minutes to hours. They may or may not be combined with other symptoms including headache, nausea, vomiting, light and noise sensitivity, tinnitus and poor balance.
Balance problems can cause decreased confidence and lead to lifestyle changes, including limited social participation. Vertigo can contribute to balance problems, as can any of the following: age, nerve damage, joint, muscle and vision problems, medications or neurological conditions such as MS, stroke and more.
At Wellness Embodied we treat the patient not the body part, at our Cairns Dizziness Clinic our team draw on a range of modalities to provide comprehensive care and treatment, tailored to your specific circumstances.
At your initial appointment at our Cairns Dizziness Clinic, our physios will complete a physical examination of balance, coordination, nervous system, neck movement and vestibular assessment, using the Vesticam Goggles. During assessment they’ll review your history to identify when the vertigo / balance problem started, investigating any possible triggers which may cause episodes.
