CAIRNS SHOULDER PAIN TREATMENT

At Wellness Embodied we promote healthy, pain-free bodies. We work with our customers to achieve this outcome, by providing a series of integrated treatments. We know how debilitating shoulder pain can be. We’ll work with you to identify the cause and provide effective treatment.

SHOULDER PAIN

The shoulder joint is a complex one. It is a ball and socket joint, with a very shallow socket which depends largely on the rotator cuff muscles and associated capsule to maintain its stability. It is also greatly affected by poor postures and lifting techniques, as well as dysfunction in the cervical and thoracic spine. Due to this anatomy, there are many acute injuries and pain syndromes which can occur, causing significant pain and disability. We provide effective Cairns shoulder pain treatment.

SHOULDER TREATMENT

An assessment will determine the structures at fault, in creating your pain. This is then followed by treatment, which can include joint mobilisations, massage, taping, acupuncture, cupping and provision of specific strengthening and stretching exercises (more on this below). In our experience, physiotherapy is effective in relieving most shoulder pains, within 3 weeks. That’s the outcomes our clients enjoy and indeed, we have prevented numerous clients from having to undergo surgery.

INTEGRATED CARE

We are passionate about creating pain-free bodies, capable of performing at their optimum. Our team of Allied Health professionals are highly qualified and experienced at helping ease and heal patients’ shoulder pain. This starts with correctly diagnosing the cause and then preparing and delivering an integrated care and treatment program. Our physiotherapist Clara has a special interest in treatment of shoulders and has completed further training with Lyn Watson of the Melbourne Shoulder Group. At Wellness Embodied, we don’t believe in endless appointments with no results, we do believe in helping our patients.
