Wellness Embodied is a boutique physiotherapy practice in Cairns, Queensland. We have two inner-city clinics, one is located at 53 Sheridan Street and the other is at 30 Scott Street. We have a small Clinical Pilates and rehab gym and stock a range of rehab products. In addition to Physiotherapy, our multi-disciplinary team and services includes an Exercise Physiology, Naturopathy, Remedial Massage and NDIS Allied Health Assistant.

We strongly believe in relationship building and have strong referral links with excellent practitioners in the Cairns area. In addition to this, we provide an outreach service to clients in Cooktown with one of our team of Physiotherapists visiting the town for 1 week of every month. Our clinic can take on the right Physiotherapist at any time and we’re pleased to provide information on our values below. If you think this is you, please apply.

Our vision is to make Cairns the Healthiest City in Australia. Our values include Compassion, Leadership, Integrity, Consistency, Kindness and Sustainability. We practice and live according to our values. Our patients trust us to lead them throughout the rehab pathway and we always aim to provide the gold standard treatment plan and care approach. Our expert status is valued.

Practice Principal

Suzanne Rath has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine and over 12 years of clinical experience, across areas which include national sports teams, hospital, community and private practice.

For the past number of years she has had a significant clinical interest in treating difficult to manage conditions including chronic pain, migraines, post-concussion syndrome and referred pains.

Her approach is integrative and holistic, treating the whole person, rather than just a body part and referring to other practitioners for full care as necessary. She utilises a range of clinical tools as part of her treatments, including Watson headache technique, DMA Clinical Pilates and Upledger Craniosacral Therapy. For more information, see Suzanne’s Profile page.

Suzanne has implemented many policies and procedures to enable and support team and individual growth. Her work in this area saw her named as the 2021 winner of the People Management Excellence Award, at the JCU Business Excellence Awards.

Your Core Requirements

As our next amazing physio, you’ll use our guidance to assist with your already developed skills. You will:

  • Be a people person- willing to get out and liaise with potential referrers and work to keep your caseload busy.

  • Have clear learning goals and knowledge of your strongest and weakest Clinical Areas. A commitment to professional and personal development is one of our key values.

  • You will be a physio with over 5 years’ experience in private practice who wants to work for a client centred business.

Our practice holds the following values as critical. We focus on retaining and providing the best service we can to the clients we have, rather than constantly chasing new clients. The end result of this is that our clients trust us and are loyal to the practice. In turn we always aim to provide the gold standard treatment plan and care

We will accept applications from new graduates or those on limited registration
in Australia, whose attitude fits within our culture. You will have the opportunity and encouragement to grow, pitch and market
any personal areas of clinical interest, workshops, treatment techniques,
positions etc.

You will be willing to undertake non-clinical tasks in your downtime with the aim
of maintaining our strong practice brand and building your own caseload.

You will work hard when in work and be rewarded for this through our
structured staff social program, job satisfaction and more, including:
weekly mentoring and in-service training; quarterly staff planning and social afternoon; a generous CPD budget and flexible hours.

Do you want to be able to take more leave? The ability to earn
more money? Travel to remote communities? The opportunity to develop your own area of expertise? Would you prefer to work on commission or full salary? These are completely negotiable. A salary guide for this position varies between $65,000 – $90,000 per year, but your performance will dictate your worth (ie your client numbers and ability to retain and provide the service we are known for). To apply, you MUST send a cover letter detailing why you think you are suited to a role with Wellness Embodied, along with a detailed resume.
