Pregnancy pain can manifest at any time during gestation and even after baby has arrived. It can be very uncomfortable and might present as lower back pain and sciatica, aching legs and feet, headaches, carpal tunnel, pelvic girdle, pubic symphysis pain and more. Why does it happen? Mainly because your body is transforming rapidly and the baby weight causes a shift in your body’s centre of gravity, which has the flow-on effects of strain and pain.

Our Cairns physiotherapy pregnancy care and osteopathy care is natural and gentle. We use a variety of techniques and modalities to improve mobility and relieve tension in muscles, ligaments and tendons. It can also help to relax your nervous system and improve your breathing mechanics. The best treatment technique for your presenting pregnancy pain, will be carefully selected by your practitioner to assure both your safety and comfort.

Here at Wellness Embodied, we aim to support both you and your baby throughout your whole pregnancy journey. Our natural, manual healthcare, including Cairns osteopathy pregnancy care and physiotherapy treatments, are effective and gentle, suitable for Mums to be at all stages of their pregnancy and of course, safe for baby. We can also provide advice on suitable exercise programs and lifestyle choices to support you at this time.
