BREAST CANCER TREATMENT
The physical impact of breast cancer treatments can be wide-ranging and long-lasting. Some common concerns include: pain, stiffness and tightness post-surgery (mastectomy, lumpectomy, or reconstruction); limited shoulder movement and difficulty with daily tasks; lymphoedema (or risk of lymphoedema); numbness, cording (axillary web syndrome), and nerve sensitivity; fatigue, decreased cardiovascular fitness and muscle loss; osteopenia / osteoporosis (especially with hormonal therapy); low bone mineral density; pelvic health concerns; gut health; and mental and emotional exhaustion, including anxiety and loss of confidence.
